The Wizarding World
Everything about Diagon Alley.
You don't enter Diagon Alley head-on. The entrance is hidden: walk to the London area at Universal Studios, find the passage between two buildings near the Leaky Cauldron, and step through the wall — you're suddenly in Diagon Alley.
The atmosphere hits instantly: crooked, authentic storefronts straight from the books, Gringotts dominating the skyline with a fire-breathing dragon on its roof, and a pedestrian street packed with wizarding shops.
Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts is the headline ride — an immersive queue through the bank, life-sized animatronic goblins, and a journey that blends coaster and 3D simulator as you flee the villains.
The Hogwarts Express
A real train connecting the two parks (Park-to-Park ticket required). Board at King's Cross Station, cross to Platform 9¾, and enjoy an 8-minute ride with cinematic scenes in the windows and character conversations in the corridor. Disembark at Hogsmeade Station in Islands of Adventure.
The scenes are different in each direction — ride it both ways, even if you don't plan to switch parks.
Don't miss Knockturn Alley, a dark side street off Diagon Alley: dim lighting, Borgin and Burkes (the dark-arts shop), and shadowy window displays. For hardcore fans, it's a near-spiritual experience.

One wand, both parks
An interactive wand from Ollivanders works in both wizarding worlds — 27 spell spots in Diagon Alley and 16 in Hogsmeade.
Ride the train both ways
Even if you only want one park, take the Hogwarts Express round trip — the scenes are completely different each direction.
Diagon Alley after dark
Come back to Diagon Alley after sunset. The lighting transforms the whole street into something far more mysterious.
Two Butterbeers
Compare Hogsmeade's creamy Butterbeer with Diagon Alley's version — same recipe, different vibe. Both are essential.
Beat the Gringotts line
Diagon Alley is smaller than Hogsmeade and the entrance line can back up at midday (12-3pm). Go early or after 6pm.
Go Park-to-Park
For Universal fans, a 2-day Park-to-Park ticket is the move: Universal Studios on day one, Islands of Adventure on day two.
